Wi-Fi QR code
Guests scan once and they're online. No typing long passwords.
How it works
Enter your network
Network name (SSID), password and security type, exactly as on your router.
Style and frame it
Add "Wi-Fi" on a frame so people know what it's for.
Check and print
The print check tests the code. A table tent sheet works well on counters.
Which security type?
- WPA/WPA2: most home and business networks. Also works for WPA2/WPA3 mixed networks.
- WPA3 only: newer routers set to WPA3 only. Some older phones can't join these from a code.
- WEP: old and unsafe. Upgrade your router if you can.
- No password: open networks.
The code uses the standard Wi-Fi format (WIFI:T:WPA;S:…;P:…;;), with special characters escaped so names like Cafe;Guest still work.
Questions
How do I make a QR code for my Wi-Fi?
Choose Wi-Fi, type the network name and password exactly as they are on your router, pick the security type (WPA/WPA2 for most networks), then download. Guests scan it with the camera app to join.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. iPhones (iOS 11 and later) and Android phones read Wi-Fi codes with the built-in camera.
Is my Wi-Fi password sent to you?
No. The code is made in your browser. The password is stored only inside the QR code itself, so anyone who scans it can join. Don't post it where strangers can scan it.
What if I change my password?
A static Wi-Fi code holds the old password, so make a new code and print it again.
