Contact card (vCard) QR code
Put it on your business card, name badge or email signature. People scan it and save you as a contact.
What to include
- Name, and company if it's for work.
- Mobile with the country code (for example +61), so it works from any country.
- Email and website. Add the address and a note under "More fields".
Print tips
Contact cards hold more data than a link, so the code is denser. On a business card, print it at least 2.5 cm wide with a 2 mm clear margin. The print check tells you if it's too small.
Questions
What is a vCard QR code?
A code that holds your contact details. When someone scans it, their phone offers to save you as a contact, with your name, phone, email, website and address.
vCard 3.0, 4.0 or MeCard?
vCard 3.0 works on almost every phone. 4.0 is newer. MeCard holds fewer fields but makes a smaller, easier code.
Why is my code so dense?
Every field adds data. Leave out fields you don't need, or choose MeCard. Print contact codes at least 2.5 cm wide.
Is my contact data stored?
No. The card is made in your browser and stored only inside the QR code (and in this browser if you save it).
